If you’re short on time for training our bite size learning sessions could be just right. Our popular early morning and lunchtime learning sessions are designed to be fast, fun and effective.

They distil the essence of a topic through a series of practical tips and advice that people can apply to their workplaces and lives as soon as they leave. Each session is between an hour and 90 minutes long, so you can easily build them into your working day.

Networking know-how

Ever found yourself wanting to network but were clueless about what to say? Ever wondered how you might be able to convert that “hello” into a lead? This session will help you improve your networking skills by giving you simple tools to build better rapport, ask the right questions and leave the meeting with a viable follow-up.

Ever felt like you’re having meetings for meetings sake? Want to make sure your meetings are more effective, creative and focused? We’ll share our insider tips and ideas to make meetings more dynamic and worthwhile.

The Pitch

The Pitch – it should be easy if played and planned right, if the rules are followed and if the captain picks the right players and shares the tactics and direction carefully, but when the whistle blows how can you be sure you’ve done all you can to win the match? This session will cover some top tips from planning and rehearsing to choosing your key players, the road map – roles and responsibilities, scheduling, communicating and rehearsing. And even some things to remember on the day.

Finding balance

When life is busy, or your energy is focused on a special project, it’s all too easy to find yourself “off balance”. Together we’ll explore with you how to use “The Wheel of Life”, a commonly used tool by professional life coaches which helps you consider each area of your life in turn and assess what’s off balance. We’ll determine if there is too much focus on one part of your life and how to redress this balance.

Relationship builder

Building and maintaining rapport using some tried and tested Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques, a popular tool in modern psychology. You’ll gain an insight into the power of NLP and learn some basic tools such as mirroring, reframing and modelling which can be applied in the workplace and beyond.

Thinking about change

Change – David Bowie wrote a song about it and we all have to deal with it every day. This session is a chance to think about how you handle change in your life/work and consider ways to not only approach it, but influence it too. You’ll find out what drives our reactions to change and discuss some top tips to move you through it.

Speed Coaching

Are there days when you wish you could fast-track someone on your team or get someone on your side? Learning the skill of coaching will help you do this. We will look at the power of questioning, different types of questioning and how they can be used. We will also cover some relationship-building skills, such as how to develop your listening and understanding.

Being a working parent

The prospect of bringing up a baby whilst managing a successful career might feel a bit daunting at times. This session is designed to help parents assess what changes need to happen, what their priorities are, and strategies to manage expectations from their boss, team and family. Parents will come away with some practical tips and tools to help them achieve a harmonious work/life balance.

No rules Sales

The difference between the rigidity of a pre-ordained structure and the appropriate application of core principals. We will look at some improvisational acting techniques, story-telling theory and elements of NLP to help delegates devise their own strategies and approaches.

Raising your game

The impact of proactivity in your life to get better results. Instead of reacting to or worrying about conditions over which they have little or no control, proactive people focus their time and energy on things they can control. We will guide you through the “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”, masterminded by the hugely influential management guru Stephen Covey, to help you look at ways of”raising your game”.

Negotiation techniques to help you ensure that you succeed with achieving the kind of results you set out to – whether that be at work or in everyday situations. This session will teach delegates eight classic negotiation gambits.

Emotional Intelligence at Work

We used to measure our capability through IQ but in business today we now use another way, Emotional Intelligence (EI). Understanding yourself and the behaviour of others is an incredibly powerful tool. This session will help you understand the impact of good EI as a person, as a team member and as a manager.

Stress Buster

Do you ever describe yourself as stressed? But what does it really mean? And if you are stressed, what can you do about it? In this session we figure out what stress is and look at some techniques to escape it.

Office Posturing

As the old saying goes, prevention is better than cure. We look at how your working day can have negative effects on your body and how to regain control. Expect an interactive demo of simple stretches for the workplace, as well as self-massage techniques for back pain, repetitive strain injuries and neck pain, along with self-care tips.
