An impressive, awe-inspiring teaching and learning environment within an exceptional seven-storey building in Paddington. The campus recently refurbed with a £102 million grant and is an architectural sight to be seen. We, at Bec Development are planning to use their theatre for a leadership course…. Should you ever be looking for space to hire they provide conference rooms, sports hall, dance studio and theatre and we would wholly recommend going to check it out!

The Griffin at Fletching

A Bec favourite! This gastro pub set in a small Sussex village is well worth a visit not only for the sumptuous food & delightful drinks menu but for their stunning garden with breathtaking views across the Sussex Downs. When we’re not running courses, coaching candidates or hanging on the end of a phone we can be found with a Pimms in hand in the garden of a summer’s eve or a nice glass of CabSav by the open fire when the night’s begin to cool off.

Wallacespace is a venue or a ‘space’ that we often use for business and pleasure – you may have joined us there for a course by day or for a Media Lite soiree by night…

If you’re looking for a modern, innovative and well equipped  venue for meetings, brainstorming, seminars, training courses or research groups then this is the space for you. wallacespace takes a new look at an old idea and updates it for modern businesses. Not corporate and not institutional, wallacespace has two central London meeting spaces, one in Covent Garden the other, handy for Eurostar, at St Pancras. Both are old warehouses providing light, bright workspaces or thinking spaces that we think are worth checking out!

Alice Webster

Alice is a remedial massage therapist, working in clinics in Colchester and Manningtree as well as providing on site massage for local businesses.  After, initial training in Swedish Massage Alice has undergone extensive post graduate training in clinical massage to treat acute and chronic injuries and conditions. She is passionate about the benefits of massage therapy and bodywork and helping people to keep in tip top condition! We have tested her skills and would highly recommend her for massage at home or in the workplace (her hot stones massage is especially worth trying!) Click here to find out more.

Mentoring Digital Minds is an organisation of senior people – predominantly but not exclusively women – in the digital (media & technology) industry who provide free mentoring, coaching & career support to the next generation of talent in digital business. ‘How to Be a Woman’ – Caitlin Moran

A hilariously funny and apposite book that is currently doing the Bec rounds. Caitlin Moran, well known, regarded & respected columnist for the Times offers an intelligent observation on women of today. It’s slightly feminist, a little leftfield, shocking in places and a real must read. In Helen’s words it really is ‘laugh out loud funny’ so maybe not one to read on the tube!!!! Media Lite

It all started in Jan 2009, when after various conversations we’ve had with people in the media industry, it emerged there was a need to get a group together in a relaxed atmosphere, who are genuinely interested in people development and up for sharing their experiences, knowledge and ideas.

Copper

Copper are a small, independent headhunting / placement company who we love for their passion, commitment and personal approach to an industry that is renowned for it’s commercial cutthroat nature. Celia and Sonja both care passionately about their work and finding the best people for the job and we love that they cast their net beyond the obvious places for candidates. They have a rigorous approach to selection as each candidate has two interviews before being put in front of a client. They tend towards smaller, independent agencies but place for the larger ones too.
